Braveheart II
Braveheart gets me every time I listen to it - it disports me with images of triumph and adds a new verve to whatever I’m doing at that moment. I first heard that song when I used to watch Digimon Adventure back in 1999 on Toonami. Every time that song played, it upended a glorious outcome of events for the Digidestined because their Digimon evolved into a greater being to protect their partner. What really filled me with rapture was when Agumon first digivolved to WarGreymon which was a Mega-Level Digimon because it was a fucking juggernaut in the TV Show. And I recall my 7 year old self looking at that transformation which was getting ready to kick major butt, raise team morale, and pretty much dominate the show. I coveted it and its form and everything it stood for and as odd as it seems, I wanted to be like WarGreymon with his godly legs and him being semi-clad in armor. End of that story and what made me like that song. Now to recent days: For the past two weeks whenever I went to workout, I listened to “Braveheart” since its such a kickass song and it keeps me motivated to exercise. I now have legs functioning like pistons, its amazing. Next thing for me to do is infuse my skin with steel and become a cyborg. I remind myself of WarGreymon XD.
